At Wound Care Advantage we house a very diverse team of people who all have an incredible passion for wound care. One thing you may not know, is they also have other passions they pursue. For Earth Day I would like to give a shout out to our VP of Operations, Kurt Arisohn. An avid believer in protecting and sustaining the Earth, Kurt has become a strong supporter of bio-plastics. Constantly keeping up with the latest research and leaders in the industry, Kurt recently participated in a logo design contest for Cereplast – a leader in the bioplastics industry. The goal was to create a logo as identifiable as Gary Anderson’s recycling symbol. Not a designer by trade, he none-the-less created a logo carefully crafted to express a multitude of ideas.
- Designed by Kurt Arisohn, VP Operations
“I’ve always felt that the presence of the [recycling symbol] triangle gives people the idea that a product will be recycled, but it may not always be the case. I left the “b” open in my design because at the end of the day it is up to us what we do with it. Do we actually separate our trash? That is the human element.” (~K. Arisohn, Cereplast interview)
Kurt’s design unfortunately did not win, but he made the top 200 (out of 1500!) and for that we are extremely proud! Read the rest of Kurt’s interview with Cereplast here! Happy Earth Day everyone, we hope you have people as dedicated to the Earth as we do.
