One of our rules at WCA is “Patient Care is Everything.” When clinics reach out to me with questions about wound care and hyperbaric medicine, whether it’s billing and coding, charting, or best practices, I always think about that rule.When I answer any question, I ask myself, “How is my answer going to affect the patient?” Whether the needs are physical, emotional, or financial, literally everything we do and every decision we make affects the patient. When you operate with this mindset, it gives you a great sense of responsibility as their advocate.
