This month, we celebrate the Wound Healing Center at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Since partnering with WCA nine months ago, the Center has made exceptional operational changes for better patient care and improved clinical outcomes. It has also moved from an operating loss to exceeding financial projections.
In addition to implementing Luvo™, WCA’s proprietary, web-based, HIPAA-compliant operations management system, the Center is currently installing a self-service patient satisfaction kiosk in the reception area. A simple touchscreen survey quickly and easily captures patient opinions with minimal impact on day-to- day operations.
The Center has also employed FlightPlan, the most innovative physician referral tool in the industry. Its powerful algorithm makes it easy to find and visit local physicians treating patients who may require advanced wound care.
A new hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) suite featuring two state-of- the art chambers will open in January, bringing a much-needed service to the community. HBO therapy (HBOT) can speed the healing process for patients suffering from diabetes-related ulcers, soft tissue infections, and other hard-to-heal wounds.
“The Clark Memorial wound care team has done an exceptional job transitioning to our new system after being self-managed for more than a decade,” said Mike Comer, CEO of Wound Care Advantage. “We’re honored to have them as a partner.”
