Melissa Bailey

Wound Care Advantage (WCA), an innovative leader in wound center management, recently expanded its executive team by adding three key members possessing many years of wound care industry experience. At the same time two WCA team members were promoted to key positions in the company. Wound Care Advantage (WCA) was founded in 2002 and is one of the few remaining wound management companies still operating today. The WCA team believes that providing outstanding patient care is the number one priority for its business. The recent additions and promotions provided additional strength in the areas of operations, business development and education.

“By recruiting some of the top talent in the wound care and healthcare industries we are able to vastly improve all aspects of our services for clients,” said Morgan Craven, VP of Human Resources. “We have an outstanding team in place for 2015 and we are excited about the launch of LUVO and our continued role of transition specialist for hospitals looking to reduce the cost of their wound center management contracts.”

LUVO (Latin for aid and assist) is a new wound center management operating system, powered by the WCA team, which helps hospitals drive their wound care program while WCA navigates. It offers hospitals across the country a way to save by utilizing technology and streamlining operations for enhanced efficiency and profitability.

Wound Care Advantage added Lynn McLeod, MBA, CPA, as VP of Operations and Program Development. Lynn brings more than 30 years of diverse business experience to WCA, including more than 20 years in healthcare. Lynn started her career as a CPA with KPMG before transitioning into financial sales with Siemens Finance, GE Capital and Philips Capital. She then moved into Operations with the country’s largest wound care center management company. In this role, Lynn provided operational oversight to more than 35 wound care centers in addition to directing the opening of numerous wound care facilities. Her systematic approach to both simple and complex issues, paired with her deep understanding of finance, accounting, and operations, continues to help healthcare facilities uncover areas needing improvement to reach their maximum potential.

WCA also added Randy Brooker, BS, CHT as East Coast Regional Director of Operations. Randy is a seasoned healthcare industry professional that comes to WCA with a BS in Biology from Texas Tech University and holds a current Certified Hyperbaric Technologist license. Randy has extensive experience in healthcare administration, specializing in wound care and hyperbaric medicine, having overseen numerous wound care programs across the country. He has held various leadership positions including program director, senior program director, regional director of operations and national director of hyperbaric operations. Randy’s common sense approach paired with his executive oversight experience, brings invaluable knowledge to the WCA family of centers. In addition to management experience, Randy will also serve as WCA’s in-house instructor on UHMS, concentrating on the technical aspects of chamber operations. In all, Randy has 26 years of committed service in the healthcare Industry including the last 10 years specializing in wound care and hyperbaric medicine.

On the business side, Craig Norris Johns, BS Business, joined WCA as VP of Business Development.
Craig has been involved in the healthcare business for nineteen years specializing in Wound Care and Infection Control. His employment and consultation consists of time with fortune 100 companies including J&J, McKesson, Cardinal, Shire Pharmaceuticals (Dermagraft) and HCCA Healthcare Consultants. In 2010, Craig joined a medical mission to Haiti where he coached and mentored medical personnel on wound, burn care and infection control techniques and technologies. Upon his return, Craig has been heavily involved in consultation and advisement for health care start-up companies and existing medical facilities. Craig brings a strong wound care and infection control background to Wound Care Advantage, strengthened only by his passion for excellent patient care.

“In addition to our new employee acquisitions we also recently promoted some of our talented employees internally,” Craven, said.
